Hint of Veep Choice?

From Huffpost:

In an indication that he expects to be Barack Obama’s vice-presidential pick, Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del) has begun writing a 50,000-word acceptance speech, aides to the senator confirmed today.

The address, which Mr. Biden has been working on around the clock, is an abridged version of a 200,000-word acceptance speech that Mr. Biden wrote when he ran for President in 1988.

If Biden is the choice, any thoughts? Apparently he can be a bulldog- and unfortunately, Obama needs one right now to combat the mud-slinging out of the re-tooled Rove-esque McCain campaign.

I think Biden is a good choice. He brings a solid background in IR, something that McCain supporters have been quick to criticize about Barack, plus he has what seems to be the all important “experienced” tag on him…

and, all things considered, at least its not Hillary

I love Joe Biden!!!!!! I saw him speak as part of the Committee on Foreign Relations in 2004 when Colin Powell labeled Darfur a genocide, and he was the only one there who had any idea of what he was talking about. It was so refreshing to seem someone so informed being so assertive for the sake of other humans… ::glow:: In short, yes, go Joe Biden, go!

I don’t know much about Biden, but I’ve actually warmed up to the idea of having Hillary as vice. Don’t get me wrong, she REALLY turned me off during her primary campaign. She played dirty, stayed in the race too long, and has still nurtured some notion of candidacy among her most rabid supporters. That said, her ability to play dirty and fight back against McCain’s slime machine would be very helpful now that the negative campaigning has begun. Then again, few mainstream public officials are as hated as she is among certain groups.

Kate likes Hillary. Or Kathleen Sebelius. Go ladies go!

(FYI, I actually obviously like both of their politics too not just the fact that they are ladies. duh.)

To clarify, I’d prefer Hillary because Sebelius has a bit of a craziness when it comes to some little things (gay marriage issues mostly). But Sebelius is far less polarizing; indeed, she is an across-the-aisle sort of politician.

Honestly, i feel that, if Obama is going to nominate a woman, it has to be Hillary. If he nominates Sebelius, Hillary enthusiasts will literally flip a shit that he picked a woman and it wasn’t HRC.
