While European racism usually is treated harshly in the media (rightfully so), this writer gets off easy with the latest Olympic Scandal. I can see the Spanish players’ point that calling an African American negro may not be racist, since this is a language issue of obvious description (whites allow to be labeled “white” in race multiple choice boxes). However, trying to argue that calling someone who behaves badly a Morro (from Morocan) isn’t racism is ridiculous. The implication that everyone from Morocco behaves badly is racism, saying that every white person is white is not. (There is a much better photo and article courtesy of AOL News.)
